摘要: Abstract Freshly prepared ZnO nanoparticles were incorporated into a chitosan solution in weight ratios ranging from 1:1 to 12:1. Starting the ratio of 3:1 was transformed gel with high consistency, which incorporates 15 mL water for only 0.1 g solid substance. The powders obtained after drying characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and thermal analysis (TG-DSC). electronic (UV–vis), infrared (FTIR) photoluminescence (PL) spectra also recorded. particles coated gentamicin matrix, yield ZnO/gentamicin–chitosan gel. release rate monitored photometrically. This proved great antimicrobial properties, inhibiting Staphylococcus aureus Pseudomonas aeruginosa growth both planktonic surface-attached conditions. results indicate that composite can be used cutaneous healing developing improved wound dressings, combine antibacterial activity all three components controlled antibiotic. dressing maintains moist environment at interface, providing cooling sensation soothing effect, while slowly releasing system is fully scalable any other soluble drug, as entire remains trapped ZnO–chitosan
