A Survey of the Current Practice of Obstetric Anaesthesia and Analgesia in Malaysis

摘要: Objective: A survey covering 30% of the deliveries in Malaysia was done to determine practice obstetric anaesthesia and analgesia for 1996. Results: From survey, it found that regional rate caesarean section 46% government hospitals compared 29.2% private hospitals, with spinal being most common anaesthetic technique used both types hospitals. The epidural labour only 1.5% overall country. Epidural services were available all whereas 17.6% surveyed did not offer this service at all. Conclusions: Although use low Malaysia, (41.9%) is very much keeping standards safe recommended by United Kingdom.
