摘要: Despite living in an environment that promotes weight gain many individuals, some individuals maintain a thin phenotype while self-reporting expending little or no effort to control their weight. When compared with obesity prone (OP) we wondered if resistant (OR) would have higher levels of spontaneous physical activity (SPA) respond short-term overfeeding by increasing level SPA manner could potentially limit future gain. was measured 55 subjects (23 OP and 32 OR) using novel monitoring system (PAMS) body position movement were awake for 6 days, either controlled eucaloric condition during 3 days (1.4× basal energy) the subsequent (ad libitum recovery period). Pedometers also used before use PAMS provide independent measure SPA. quantified as fraction recording time spent lying, sitting, upright posture. Accelerometry, posture, categorize different (standing, walking slowly, quickly, etc.). There differences between groups when examined across all study periods (P > 0.05). However, following overfeeding, significantly decreased amount they (−2.0% time, P = 0.03), whereas OR maintained (+0.2%, The principle findings this are increased feeding short term likely do not contribute resistance although decrease may obesity.
