摘要: Abstract Cranberries (Vaccinium macrocarpon) represent an important source of anthocyanins, flavan-3-ols and flavonols. This study aimed at investigating in vitro the human microbial metabolism (poly)phenols, principally flavan-3-ols, unformulated- phytosome-formulated cranberry extracts. After powder characterization, a 24-h fermentation with faecal slurries was performed, standardizing concentration incubated proanthocyanidins. Cranberry (poly)phenol metabolites were quantified by uHPLC-MS2 analyses. The native compounds both extracts metabolized under microbiota activity, resulting twenty-four metabolites. Although some differences appeared when considering different classes colonic metabolites, no significant total amount established after 24 h incubation period. These results suggested that formulation had effect on flavan-3-ol extract. Both formulations displayed capability to be potential which could lead wide array gut vitro.
