摘要: Abstract The leader–member exchange (LMX) theory of leadership focuses on the quality relationships built between leaders and subordinates; LMX measures are designed to assess these relationships. Since leader subordinate jointly embedded in relationship, it is reasonable assume that their ratings relationship will converge some extent. However, convergence most widely used measures, LMX-7 SLMX-7 scales, has historically been low. To address this, we conduct two studies investigate whether item wording content might be a cause poor convergence. obtained results support conclusion are, fact, introducing attributional social desirability biases into rating process causing commonly seen. Implications for extant future research discussed.
