摘要: This chapter examines the extent to which and prospects for emergence of a Western Islam. draws on work number scholars, primarily based in Europe, who have discussed concept or more precisely “Euro/European-Islam” and/or American Islam, theoretical underpinnings idea factors that facilitate its indigenisation. The first addresses question what is meant by Islam considers such as geography, politico-legal social contexts, intellectual cultural affinity, identity, values, principles, philosophical assumptions worldview, sense belonging. It focusing factors, agents, discourses could be identified facilitating defined terms cultural, religio-philosophical, socio-political dimensions. translates into comprehensive yet reasonable doctrine embraces values modernity legitimises them both theologically politically.
