摘要: The wall of the general capillary (tissues other than brain) is freely permeable to all small molecules but brain wall, blood-brain barrier (BBB), impermeable many certain others. fundamental difference between these quite different permeability characteristics diagrammed in Fig. 1. In capillaries, blood plasma solutes exchange with more stationary pericapillary extracellular fluid (ECF) largely by diffusion through clefts cells making up wall. This is, accordingly, via pathways.
