Diagnostic difficulties of pelvic splenosis: case report

摘要: We report the case of a 38-year-old woman who presented with chronic lower abdominal pain. Her past medical history included splenectomy due to trauma. Ultrasound examination revealed four pelvic tumors which, upon laparotomy, were found be result splenosis. Approximately 100 cases splenosis have been reported but only minority them published in gynecological literature. Our indicates that those involved scanning (even asymptomatic women) and/or treating complaining pain or presenting should aware as possible diagnosis. Copyright © 2006 ISUOG.
