摘要: Control of microbial infection requires regulated induction NF-κB-dependent proinflammatory cytokines such as IL-12 and TNF-α. Activation this important transcription factor is driven by phosphorylation-dependent degradation the inhibitory IκB molecule, an event which enables NF-κB translocation from cytoplasm to nucleus. In study, we show that intracellular macrophages with protozoan parasite Toxoplasma gondii induces rapid phosphorylation degradation. Nevertheless, failed translocate nucleus, enabling invade cells without triggering cytokine induction. Infected subsequently subjected LPS were severely crippled in TNF-α production, a result tachyzoite-induced blockade nuclear translocation. Our results are first demonstrate ability actively interfere activation pathway macrophages, activity may enable survival within host.
