摘要: The association between pre-operative serum carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) and liver scanning employing technetium (99mTc)-tin colloid was investigated in 30 women subsequently proven to have primary epithelial ovarian carcinoma determine whether these two investigations improve the detection of hepatic metastases. upper limit normal for CEA (greater than or equal 5 ng/ml) did not represent optimal levels use predicting nor presence But with greater 10 ng/ml sensitivity metastases 57%. Liver alone demonstrated five out seven patients (71%) parenchymal combination scan positive six (86%).
