HIPed Si3N4 for High Temperature Structural Applications at 1400°C

摘要: Excellent time-dependent strength up to 1400°C has been demonstrated in HIPed high-purity Si3N4 without additives. Lifetime at under static loading of 300 MPa was, found be >240 h with very small creep deformation rate about 1 x 10-5 h-1, which were far better than presently available non-HIPed Si3N4s appeared literatures. Selected additives have systematically doped onto this pure system and their effects on the time dependent mechanical properties around analyzed by a new convenient method proposed authors.
