摘要: Abstract Mechanics of a functionally graded cylinder subject to static or dynamic axial loading is considered including potential application as energy absorber. The grading in the radial direction such that mass density and stiffness are power functions coordinate may be case with variable-density open-cell closed-cell foams. Exact solutions obtained problem where applied load periodic function time. absorption analyzed reduced an easily implementable nondimensional formulation. It demonstrated by material it possible achieve higher while at same time saving weight.
