NOTE ON POST-WELDED HULL PLATE LOAD-DISPLACEMENT BEHAVIOR

摘要: Initial imperfections occur during the ship production process as a result, primarily, of welding and forming. To determine whether this will or not requires knowledge hull plate load-deflection response for plates with different aspect slenderness ratios. It is shown that an ratio less than 2.45, relationship can be determined. recommended additional field measurements made to clarify shape post-welded deformation larger-aspect-ratio plates.
