摘要: Abstract An experimental investigation of a liquid film falling around horizontal tube was performed using displacement micrometer to determine the distribution characteristics thickness. Measurements were carried out for circumferential angles ranging from 15° 165°, outside diameters varying 20 32 mm, intertube spacings 10 40 mm, and Reynolds numbers 150 800. It is found that thickness are mainly affected by angle, spacing number. However, diameter has little influence on The results also validate Nusselt's theory giving relatively reasonable prediction upper perimeter but poor lower perimeter. minimal values locate at different in range 90°–115° rather than single point β = 90° predicted Nusselt. Moreover, gets thinner scaled tube, distributions pure water agree well with those seawater. Based data, new correlation been suggested predict
