摘要: We assessed the distribution of Trypanosoma cruzi Discrete Typing Units (DTUs) in domestic and peridomestic Triatoma infestans sordida specimens collected a well-defined rural area Pampa del Indio, northeastern Argentina. Microscopically-positive bugs were randomly selected with multi-level sampling design, DTUs identified using direct PCR strategies. TcVI predominated 61% 69 T. 56% 9 sordida. TcV was secondary DTU (16%) found 1 specimen (11%). Three (33%) infected TcI, also local Didelphis albiventris opossums. Mixed infections occurred rarely (5%) detected both directly from bugs' rectal ampoule parasite cultures. The bug collection sites significantly associated. Bugs almost exclusively captured domiciles whereas those similarly peridomiciles. All mixed domiciles. TcV-infected fed more often on humans than dogs, TcVI-infected showed reverse pattern. is probable sylvatic vector TcI linked to D. albiventris, could represent domestic/peridomestic cycle.
