Ebooks vs. print books: readers' choices and preferences across contexts

摘要: With electronic book (ebook) sales and readership rising, are ebooks positioned to replace print books? This study examines the preference for books in contexts of reading purpose, situation, contextual variables such as age, gender, education level, race/ethnicity, income, community type, Internet use. Additionally, this aims identify factors that contribute ebook adoption. The results support notion have firmly established a place people's lives, but not yet take over all roles books. Both unique attributes serve irreplaceable functions meeting needs, which may vary by individual demographic, contextual, situational factors.
