Itinerant-electron metamagnetism and the onset of ferromagnetism in Laves phase compounds

摘要: Detailed magnetization measurements have been carried out for Laves phase compounds which a C15-type structure up to x = 0.220. A clear increase in the lattice constant occurs at room temperature vicinity of 0.095, corresponding critical concentration onset ferromagnetism. representative first-order metamagnetic transition was observed with 0.090 and 0.093 relatively low fields below 9 T. The from first- second-order both susceptibility maximum several paramagnetic were obtained. It should be noted that practically coincides 0.093, very close This result is well explained by recent theory associated spin fluctuations. shifts lower temperatures increasing disappears 0.095 above, correlated ferromagnetism also. spontaneous per Co atom exhibits value 0.110, whereas Curie does not show same composition.
