摘要: This paper investigates research using VGI and geo-social media in the disaster management context. Relying on method of systematic mapping, it develops a classification schema that captures three levels main category, focus, intended use, analyzes relationships with employed data sources analysis methods. It focuses scope to pioneering field management, but described approach developed are easily adaptable different application domains or future developments. The results show hypothesized consolidation research, characterized through building canonical bodies knowledge advanced cases refined methodology, has not yet happened. majority studies investigate challenges potential solutions handling, fewer focusing socio-technological issues applications. trend is currently showing no sign change, highlighting still very much technology-driven as opposed theory- application-driven. From mapping study, authors formulate discuss several objectives for work, which could lead stronger, more theory-driven treatment topic GIScience.
