摘要: Gracilaria verrucosa, the red alga, is a suitable feedstock for biosugar production. This study analyzes production by hydrolysis of G. verrucosa conducted under various conditions (i.e., acid concentrations, substrate reaction times, and enzyme dosages). The hydrolysates yielded total 7.47g/L (37.4%) 10.63g/L (21.26%) reducing sugars optimal small (30mL) large laboratory-scale (1L) processes, respectively. Reducing sugar obtained from enzymatic were 10% higher, with minimum by-products, than those reported in other studies. mass balance process showed that had carbohydrate conversion 57.2%. approach to entire seaweed can be applied saccharification processes.
