摘要: This paper demonstrates two different pretreatment protocols for oil palm trunks (OPT); steam-alkali-chemical (SAC) and microwave-alkali (Mw-A) method. The composition, morphology, structure crystallinity of OPT before after were analyzed. effectiveness the pretreated methods was investigated by performing enzymatic saccharification on OPT. physiochemical factors namely: enzyme ratio (cellulase to β-glucosidase), pH, temperature substrate loading (w/v) also investigated. pre-determined optimal conditions then used further hydrolysis raw substrates. results revealed a huge degree reduction in lignin, up 89% SAC treated at least 15% Mw-A sample as compared untreated ones. High glucose accumulation (79.4%) obtained 72 h both samples.
