摘要: Abstract The humidification-dehumidification process is an interesting technique that has been adapted for water desalination. Most previous work performed the desalination in two separate columns, which increases complexity of system and limits humidification effect carrier gas as well thermal efficiency process. In this work, a baffled shell tube unit was built to perform dehumidification simultaneously at side column, respectively. effects several operating conditions on production were investigated, including flow rate, inlet temperature, rate external steam rate. results show productivity both increase with increasing temperature. Suitable rates exist gas, are 6–30 kg h−1 4–20 present increased but decreased A further performance comparison unbaffled indicated baffle plates significantly enhance usually 3–6 times one. Meanwhile, salinity produced determined be range 20–30 mg/L feed containing 10,000 NaCl.
