Synthesis of diamond via low pressure polymer precursor using microwave plasma-two dimensional growth phenomena

摘要: Diamond film can be synthesized from a phenylcarbyne polymer [C6H5C]n which consists of randomly constructed rigid network tetrahedral units, in hydrogen-acetone mixture by microwave plasma at low pressure. The diamond contains crystals with different size (from nanometers to micromerters). dendritic patterns and two-dimensional flattened has been observed after treatment the polymer. experiment suggested that transformed is through an amorphous state, two dimensional growth, i.e. layer growth possible using as precursor.
