Properties of the Ternary Mg2Ni0.75Co0.25 Hydrogen Storage Alloy after Fluorination Treatment

摘要: The electrochemical properties of the Mg 2 Ni 0.75 Co 0.25 alloys treated and untreated by a fluorination solution have been investigated cyclic voltammogram (CV) impedance spectroscopy (EIS). CV results show that alloy after treatment has more active sites than one. EIS for alloy, at higher open-circuit voltage (OCV) (-0.940 V vs. HgO/Hg). Heyrovsky reaction hydrogen transfer are responsible mixed rate-determining process. While lower OCV (-0.780 besides transfer, diffusion dominates rate. However, in both cases OCVs, rate controlling step. significant difference between them is attributed to different surface layers on alloys. In addition, does not improve anticorrosion Ni-type strong alkaline solution.
