Effect of nanostructure and partial substitution on gas absorption and electrochemical properties in Mg2Ni-based alloys

摘要: Abstract Mg2Ni-based alloys have been intensively investigated as gaseous hydrogen absorption materials and negative electrode for Nickel-Metal Hydride (Ni–MH) battery. In this work, three samples (micrometer Mg2Ni, nanometer Mg2Ni Mg2Ni0.75Cu0.25) were synthesized from Mg, Ni Cu nanoparticles commercially available micrometer particles. The metal fabricated by plasma reaction technique. structure morphology of these studied. Gaseous electrochemical properties compared. Amongst samples, the shows best gas kinetics 3.0 wt.% in 1 min under 4 MPa at 623 K; Mg2Ni0.75Cu0.25 sample a highest first cycle capacity 346 mAh/g. effect nanostructure partial substitution on performance was clarified.
