摘要: Focal adhesion kinase (FAK) is a non-receptor tyrosine that resides at the sites of integrin clustering, known as focal adhesions. The FAK protein has molecular mass 125kDa and encoded by gene located on human chromosome 8q24. Structurally, consists an amino-terminal regulatory FERM domain, central catalytic two proline-rich motifs, carboxy-terminal targeting domain. been shown to be important mediator cell growth, proliferation, survival migration, all which are often dysfunctional in cancer cells. Our lab was first isolate from primary tissue link it process tumorigenesis. We analyzed mRNA expression normal, invasive metastatic tissues demonstrated through Northern blot analysis normal had very low levels while tumors significantly overexpressed FAK. also confirmed overexpression colorectal carcinoma liver metastases with real-time PCR. In this review we summarized immunohistochemical data role different types discussed inhibition therapy approaches.
