Effect of pelvic floor dysfunction on sexual function and quality of life in Chinese women of different ages: An observational study.

摘要: AIM The aim of the present study was to investigate effect female pelvic floor dysfunction on sexual function and quality life among different age groups. METHODS An observational carried out 648 patients with organ prolapse (POP) or/and stress urinary incontinence. We assessed through Prolapse/Urinary Incontinence Sexual Questionnaire Short Form Quality Life Scale before surgeries, respectively. Patients were assigned into RESULTS mean all 62.04 ± 9.39 years. A total 436 had POP, 120 incontinence remaining both. Although frequency decreased increasing age, 517 still remained sexually active. 10.83% aged ≥70 years active, 8.51% them sex less than one time per month. score age. However, increased only POP showed a higher (P < 0.001). CONCLUSIONS that are common older Chinese women, re associated satisfaction in China. It suggests existing requirement these should also be reconsidered surgical assessment.
