Remanence magnetic records of the recent 130 000 years from the sediments in Nansha area, South China Sea

摘要: Two hundred and eighty-one samples, collected from drilling core NS93-5 located in the Nansha area of South China Sea, were used to study magnetic characteristics sediments sea. Detailed rock results show that minerals dominated by ferrimagnetic such as magnetite, a small contribution hematite maghematite also existed. The recorded three negative values remanence inclination at depth: 191–206 cm, 232–248 292–308 cm. corresponding ages these 65.87–68.7 ka B.P., 73.4–80.8 B.P. 108.4–113.6 respectively, according stratigraphy oxygen isotope, 14C, age volcanic ash layer. value during may be record Blake event area.
