Co-factors for trophic factors, and methods of use thereof

摘要: The present invention is based on the discovery and isolation of a co-factor for trophic factors. It has been discovered that factors require to stimulate and/or potentiate factor activity specificity. This was clearly identified in low density cells where are unable, or at best, minimal levels, able proliferate undifferentiated without co-factor. In particular embodiment invention, there provided composition comprising glycosylated cystatin C (CCg), an FGF stimulates proliferation neural fibroblast associated cells. N-glycosylation required its activity. Moreover, CCg acts cooperation with basic growth (FGF-2) induce progenitor cell proliferation.
