摘要: The aim of the study was to assess influence flap designs (Envelope (EF) and Szmyd (SF)) for impacted mandibular third molar extraction, on periodontal pocket depth (PPD), clinical attachment loss (CAL) bone levels (BL) second molar. Sixty patients indicated extractions with healthy molars were allocated into two groups: EF SF (n = 30). Third assessed angulation, root patterns, impactions relation ramus (Pell Gregory classification). Extraction performed PPD, CAL BL around at 0, 3 6 month (mon) follow-ups (FU) clinically radiographically. ANOVA, Chi-square Fisher's exact test employed compare factors between groups, considering p ≤ 0.05 as significant. participants a mean age 23.22 ± 3.17 included in study. Based most common impaction groups mesio-angular (EF, 50%; SF, 36.7%). Buccal distal PPD showed significant increase (p < 0.001) both from baseline mon. significantly higher buccal (6.67 0.18 mm; 6.91 0.17 mm) (7.64 0.16 7.90 0.15 compared (CAL, 6.76 0.26 mm-BL, 7.42 0.38 7.34 0.34 mon FU. better soft tissue (PPD CAL) stability (less loss) after regardless patient, tooth operator factors.
