摘要: Abstract Putt MT, Watson M, Seale H, Paratz JD. Muscle stretching technique increases vital capacity and range of motion in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Objectives To determine if a specific hold relax was capable (1) reversing the effect tight chest wall muscles by increasing expansion, capacity, shoulder (2) decreasing perceived dyspnea respiratory rate persons disease (COPD). Design Double-blind crossover trial. Setting A physiotherapy department at major metropolitan hospital. Participants Fourteen stable COPD who had recently completed rehabilitation program were enrolled, 10 completing study. Intervention pectoralis sham each for 2 days. Main Outcome Measures The primary outcome measure (VC), secondary measures being dyspnea, axillary (ACE) xiphisternal expansion (XCE), right left horizontal extension, rate. Results to compared produced significant effects on VC ( P Conclusions produces short-term benefits should be investigated further.
