摘要: The abundance and heterogeneity of IT resources available, together with the ability to dynamically scale applications poses significant usability issues users. Without understanding performance profile available users are unable efficiently their in order meet objectives. High quality media collaborations, like CineGrid, one example such diverse environments where can leverage dynamic infrastructures move process large amounts data. This paper describes our user-centric approach executing high processing workloads over infrastructures. Our main contribution is CGtoolkit ?environment, an integrated system which aids cope infrastructure complexity data sets specific digital cinema domain. We describe general challenges user face heterogeneous it identify instance case CineGrid. We characterize most frequent CineGrid collaboration including resource requirements. We present design implementation a simplifies workload definition by leveraging semantic web description languages for infrastructure. We provide Pareto-optimal configurations execution.
