摘要: Aggregatibacter actinomycetemcomitans most commonly causes periodontitis but has been reported to infect heart valves, soft tissue, brain and lungs, distal bones. Osteomyelitis the jaw is rarely described. We report an unusual rare case of chronic osteomyelitis caused by A. in toe a paediatric patient, review available literature. The infection was managed with intravenous antibiotics followed oral antibiotics. This presentation causing presumed due nidation minimally damaged bone, associated bacteraemia commensal. It occurred toe, without obvious dental predisposition; minimal clinical disturbance muted immune response.
