摘要: Clostridioides difficile is the leading cause of antibiotic-associated nosocomial diarrhea, but extra-intestinal manifestations are rare. We describe first documented case bacteraemia with pacemaker pocket and lead infection toxigenic C. ribotype 014 a lack abdominal symptoms. The patient underwent extraction treatment intravenous oral vancomycin. Genotyping molecular subtyping revealed clonality between intestinal isolates. This illustrates risk intravascular device infections due to difficile. Even asymptomatic colonization might pose for prosthetic material infection.
