摘要: Adrenocortical carcinoma is a rare but highly malignant neoplasm with still limited treatment options. Epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) has been shown to be overexpressed in many solid tumors, its expression adrenocortical studied only number of cases. Therefore, we analyzed the EGFR 169 samples and compared it 31 adenomas. Additionally, 30 cases carcinoma, exons 18-21 gene were cloned sequenced. was found 128 (76%), 60 these (=36%) strong membrane staining detected. However, there no significant correlation clinical outcome. In addition, all sequenced revealed unmutated genes. contrast, 1 out adenomas weakly expressed (3%). summary, more than three-quarters this series. mutations not prognostic relevance. As hardly adenomas, our results suggest that tumors indicates phenotype, which may used differential diagnosis between carcinomas.
