摘要: To determine the source of highly prevalent hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection in our patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), we examined surface antigen (HBsAg) and its subtypes antibody 11 HCC their parents. All were positive for HBsAg. Eight (73%) mothers also HBsAg-positive, whereas only one seven fathers was an HBsAg carrier (P = 0.025). The observation is compatible maternal transmission as a HBV most HCC. subtype identifiable 10 patients, 9 HBsAg/adw adr. identical patient-mother pairs, suggesting that patient mother intimately related.
