Retinal folds and retinoschisis in accidental and non-accidental head injury.

摘要: To report the similarity of retinal findings in an infant who sustained accidental head injury and with non-accidental trauma. Two male infants injuries skull fractures. Case 1 was case 2 a injury. On examination, 1, there were four superficial haemorrhages right fundus. The left eye had haemorrhagic optic disc oedema extensive haemorrhages, folds, schitic cavities within retina at posterior pole. In 2, fundus single blot haemorrhage revealed haemorrhages. There retinoschisis fold. two cases, one other injury, demonstrate very similar ophthalmic findings. This supports argument that may be no signs seen exclusively
