摘要: Abstract Single crystals of NaCl in a 〈100〉 orientation were tested under compression the constant-strain-rate mode at 873 and 973 K. The evolution dislocation microstructure was studied both temperatures over entire range strains (up to 0.2) using standard etch-pitting techniques. At K flow stress σ slowly increases monotonically with strain even though free density ϱ (the dislocations within subgrains) passes through maximum plastic about 0.02. K, behaves similarly, although nearly steady state is eventually observed; this stage substructure as well remain invariant further straining. It argued that initial increase comparable which occurs on loading sample during creep test. However, since rate test typically much slower than it test, small easier follow. On establishment compatible (approximate) elevated temperatures, recovery produces coarsening network. attendant reduction constant then entirely analogous decrease primary conventional tests.
