摘要: Females of Musca autumnalis De Geer were collected from blood baits proximate to cattle herds with infectious bovine keratoconjunctivitis (IBK or “pinkeye”). These flies examined via colonization and fluorescent-antibody techniques determine the presence viable Moraxella bovis (Hauduroy). Of 5,314 tested during a 2-year period, less than 1% positive carriers bacterium. Correlations calculated between data suggested that face fly contamination M. . was positively related active infection in herd but not significantly proportional total populations sampled. The did appear constitute an abundant type dissemination for time frame tested.
