摘要: Studies have shown that the biosynthetic activity of fimbria oviduct in sheep changes during first few weeks pregnancy. The objective present study was to determine whether secretory epithelial lining undergoes pregnancy-associated morphological alterations a concordant manner. Oviducts obtained from ovariectomized, oestrous (day 0) and pregnant 1.5, 2, 3, 4, 6 16) ewes were analysed quantitatively qualitatively using light electron microscopy. epithelium low cuboidal ovariectomized sheep, significantly increased height at day 1.5 pregnancy, immediately decreased underwent an additional slight reduction 16 Ciliated nonciliated cells all reproductive stages. proportions ciliated varied pregnancy always major cell type. Consistent with previous data, organelles poorly developed. Maturation occurred oestrus maintained until days 2-3 ; regressive then observed, characterized by atrophy Golgi apparatus rough endoplasmic reticulum, increases heterochromatin pronounced nuclear folds. Large, electron-dense lipid droplets throughout cytoplasm cells, beginning increasing later stages Apical protrusions microvilli observed luminal domains reduced extent after 3 Cells extruded These data show distinct height, percentage ciliation organelle development
