摘要: Abstract 14 transits of the satellites S-66 have been recorded at Scott Base (78°S, 167°E) each day since October 1964. The records are scaled to determine degree irregularity ionosphere intervals 0.2 min throughout transit. By combining results from 3000 separate mean antarctic has mapped over a large area including geographic, geomagnetic and dip poles extending across auroral zone. Intense field aligned irregularities were observed for 65 per cent time in both winter summer. between geographic was consistently irregular seasons. A weaker region extended along line L = 20 include pole. There slight increase density all points winter, so that percentage fluctuations electron twice as narrow disturbed 170°E coincided with increased f 0 F 2. generally smoother away poles, there no associated
