摘要: The chemical confinement of a pH sensitive fluorophore to thin-reaction layer adjacent an electrode surface is explored as potentially innovative route improving the spatial resolution fluorescence electrochemical microscopy. A thin opto-electrochemical cell designed, facilitating visualization carbon fiber (diameter 7.0 μm) interface. Proton consumption driven at interface by reduction benzoquinone hydroquinone and resulting interfacial change revealed using 8-hydoxypyrene-1,3,6-trisulfonic acid. It demonstrated that proton depletion zone may be constrained controlled addition finite acid concentration system. Simulation intensity profiles achieved on basis difference model, with excellent agreement between theoretical experimental results.
