摘要: The purpose of the study was, firstly, to determine if muscle activity in rat has any effect on growth length humerus and migration deltoid tuberosity and, secondly, evaluate size shape tuberosity. Three groups 25 days old male rats were used. In first group brachial plexus innervating one forelimb was resected (the treatment side) opposite side unoperated non-treatment side). second sham-operated third group, control unoperated. All animals killed at 53 age dried humeri measured compared. For all dimensions experimental varied significantly from remaining two magnitude differences between sides. tuberosities smaller, less curved, closer proximal end bone sides compared Humeri shorter narrower A prominent nutrient artery canal side. These results indicate that after denervation more occurred distally proximally. were, however, small. present provides evidence contribution made by form a long bone, indirect interaction plates periosteal tension. It is postulated pull affects tension consequently length.
