摘要: Abstract Background Many studies have shown that subclinical inflammation persisted during remission period of Familial Mediterranean Fever (FMF) patients but long term effects in these aren't clearly known. Besides, a few the recent revealed risk atherosclerosis had increased FMF patients. β-Thromboglobulin (β-TG) is considered as sensitive marker platelet activation. In this study Mean Platelet Volume (MPV) and β-TG levels were evaluated Methods Following Local Ethics Committee's consent, 25 included study. Twenty eight age sex matched healthy volunteers recruited control group. Lipid profile, inflammatory parameters, hemogram, β-TG, MPV assessed. Statistical analysis was performed with SPSS for Windows 16.00. Results Group I consisted cases (16 females, 9 males; mean age: 35.72 ± 12.34 years), II 28 (22 6 31.78 ± 10.31 years). There no statistically significant difference between groups terms gender distribution, smoking status, total cholesterol, triglyceride, LDL (p > 0.05). HDL found to be lower (p:0.04). Median significantly higher than (129.50 (range:372.00) ng/mL versus 104.00 (range:212.80) respectively; p:0.03). Conclusion controls, among patients; we hypothesized may resulted from effect colchicine use on functions.
