摘要: Introduction and objective Cytokines may be involved in the pathogenesis of Peyronie's disease (PD). In this case, biological drugs, acting on specific cytokines, could adopted pharmacological treatment disease. Materials methods Twenty PD patients 8 affected by congenital recurvatum penis (control group) who underwent corporoplasty were enrolled study. Histological examination measurement Real Time PCR expression encoding genes for IL-2, IL-4, IL-6, IL-10, IL-13, TGF-β, TNF-α IFN-γ performed removed tunica albuginea (TA). For normalization data GAPDH (glucerldehyde-3fosfatehydrogenase) GUSB (β-glucuronidase), housekeeping used. The analysis was using comparative method ΔCt. results reported with Fold induction (FOI) method. Results histological exams TA showed only fibrous tissue without cavernous tissue. gene TGF-β1 all samples very low levels. levels lower although differences not statistically significant. An exception represented TGF-β that a higher level patients, IL-13 undetectable. Conclusions expressions cytokines compared to those controls do show any significant difference. A bias our study is groups age-matched. This already present similar experiences due different diseases. promoting inflammation resulted undetectable seem pathogenesis. pro-fibrotic cytokine, detected explain presence fibrotic Presently, there no suggesting possible role drugs PD.
