摘要: In this report, we demonstrate a versatile method for the immobilization and patterning of unmodified carbohydrates onto glass substrates. The employs novel self-assembled monolayer to present photoactive phthalimide chromophores at air−monolayer interface. Upon exposure UV radiation, end-groups graft surface-adsorbed carbohydrates, presumably by hydrogen abstraction mechanism followed radical recombination form covalent bond. Immobilized carbohydrate thin films are evidenced fluorescence, ellipsometry contact-angle measurements.
