摘要: This study investigated the morphological changes of lungs in F344/N rats (9–36 months old). We initially examined general and quantitative changes, then we used immunohistochemistry to detect distributional collagen subtypes (types I, III, IV) smooth muscle cell (SMC) markers (α-smooth actin (ASMA), γ-smooth (GSMA), desmin, vimentin) lungs. In 24-month-old rats, alveolar ducts sacs were enlarged, alveoli wider shallower than younger animals. old (≥27 months), terminal respiratory bronchioles dilated more extended rats. No age-related observed for types IV as revealed by immunohistochemistry, or elastin resorsin fuchsin. SMCs extra- intrapulmonary bronchi immunoreactive ASMA, GSMA, but not vimentin at all ages. loosely arranged comparison with animals, stainability GSMA desmin was decreased. ducts, a few cells ASMA aggregations orifice 12 months. older (>20 increased septal tips. conclusion, extension distal airways immunohistochemical SMC rat evident ∼24 age, there no apparent change connective tissue morphology.
