摘要: The Kepler mission has detected transits and occultations of a hot compact object around an early-type star, the Object Interest KOI 74. mass this transiting was photometrically assessed in previous study using presence relativistic beaming effect (so-called “Doppler boosting”) light curve. Our aim to provide spectroscopic validation pioneering approach. We measured radial velocity variations A1V star 74 with SOPHIE spectrograph at 1.93-m telescope Observatoire de Haute-Provence (France). Radial measurements are challenging because high level stellar pulsations few available spectral lines. Using technique dedicated main-sequence stars, we compatible companion 0.252 +/- 0.025 M(circle dot), good agreement value derived from This work strengthens scenario suggesting that is blue straggler orbited by core despoiled its envelope, low-mass white dwarf 74b.
