摘要: A system for generating polarization mode dispersion is developed to reproduce a close approximation the (pMd) of fiber links in laboratory. multistage rotating wave plates and combinations birefringent elements generates mixture first-order, second-order, higher order PMD suitable testing OC-192 OC-768 hardware. The emulator can be operated either static or time-varying modes. In mode, first-order generated with differential group delay (DGD) continuously adjustable from 0 160 ps. dynamic containing first orders an approximately Maxwellian DGD distribution. variations at frequencies up 400 Hz.
