摘要: Assays of thirteen cell lines, derived from mouse lymphomas, myelomas, myeloid tumors, and a mastocytoma, for sensitivity to growth inhibition by 1-β-d-arabinofuranosylcytosine (ara-C) revealed spectrum between the most least sensitive which differed 100-fold each other. An inverse correlation cellular deoxycytidine 5′-triphosphate (dCTP) content was found, this suggested that cells might be increased if dCTP lowered during exposure ara-C. Previous work has shown thymidine treatment lowers their content, effect on six lines ara-C therefore measured. Concentrations below those inhibitory themselves caused an increase in up 3-fold 4 causes depression but not 2 found depressed same treatment. The results confirm important role determining finding lymphoma could concentrations region 10 µm, are attainable clinically humans, suggests combination with useful some human tumors.
