摘要: Stress is one of the important factors to activate sympathetic nervous system. We recently reported that central administration corticotropin-releasing factor (CRF), known as a stress-related neuropeptide, increases expression both cyclooxygenase (COX) and nitric oxide synthase (NOS) in presympathetic neurons paraventricular hypothalamic nucleus (PVN). In present study, therefore, we investigated whether brain COX NOS can also mediate restraint stress (RS)-induced activation by assessing plasma catecholamine levels neuronal PVN. addition, examined effects RS on isozymes PVN neurons. Intraperitoneal an inhibitor for COX-1, COX-2 or inducible (iNOS), but not (nNOS), reduced RS-induced elevation Fos Moreover, increased iNOS neurons, whereas nNOS did change. These results suggest acute activation.
